Lightning by Dean Koontz

Lightning is the story of a young girl called Laura. At crucial moments during her life a mysterious lightning storm brings a stranger to her side. Who this stranger is and where he is from is one of the best twists I have ever read.

I have read this book at least twelve times and it still makes me laugh out loud and cry in equal measure. Dean Koontz writes beautifully and brings the characters to life with a mixture of mystery, tragedy and love. He captures the awkwardness of love, the disaster of loss and the hope for the future.

I would recommend that you read this book, it’s more than just a story.
