A piece musing on dwelling.

Home is just a word,
it’s what’s inside that counts.
By adding pets and children,
the love around you mounts.

The pets all pass
and the kids all grow,
leaving you alone,
and once again the place you live
is only bricks and stone.

I never get disheartened though.
When I start to feel estranged,
I think of all the happy times
and the memories I’ve attained.

I had a little re-think.
Maybe things were blurred
so I’ll apologise, I’m sorry;
home is far more than a word.

Todd Adrian Beck cannot currently work. He struggles with this.
