Summer Events: Readings, Workshops and Mindfulness
Details of events Thanet Writers will be running this summer alongside Harbour Books, Ramsgate Seadog and Changing Minds Kent.

This summer, Thanet Writers will be running various events in coordination with local organisations to offer writers, authors and poets opportunities to be inspired and engage more with writing.
Shoal: Readings, Prosecco and Q&A
Thursday 19th July 2018, 6:30pm
To celebrate the publication of Shoal: A Thanet Writers Anthology, Harbour Books in Whitstable will be hosting an evening of readings and Q&A with a selection of the authors published in Shoal.
Hosted by Connor Sansby, the event will feature readings from Kirsty Louise Farley, Sam Kaye, and Sarah Tait, followed by a Q&A session with the authors and David Chitty.
Tickets are available from Harbour Books for £3 and include a glass of prosecco at the event.
Flash Fiction Workshop at Ramsgate Seadog

As part of the Ramsgate Seadog festival, Thanet Writers will be running a Flash Fiction Workshop in Vinyl Head Café and Record Shop in Ramsgate.
Suitable for all writers from beginners to professionals, the workshop will be run by published author and Thanet Writers Essays Editor Matthew Munson and will offer an introduction to flash fiction along with an opportunity to craft a story based on seaside prompts.
This workshop is free but a donation of £3 is suggested on the day. All profits go towards paying the hosts of the workshops.
A Taste of Writing

To raise money for Changing Minds Kent, Thanet Writers will be hosting a day of writing workshops to support and promote mental wellbeing at Changing Minds in Westgate.
The workshops will include Just Write, Flash Fiction Workshop, Creative Journal Writing, and Poetry for Mental Wellbeing.
