NaNoWriMo Write-Ins
For National Novel Writing Month, Thanet Writers will be hosting weekly write-ins at Cliffs in Margate.
Each November, writers across the world take part in NaNoWriMo and attempt to write a novel in thirty days. National Novel Writing Month, as it is officially known, has been running for almost twenty years and this year, to support the writers of Thanet looking to take part, Thanet Writers are hosting a weekly write-in.
Every Friday throughout November, from 9:30am to midday, authors and novelists who are participating in NaNoWriMo can gather in Cliffs on Northdown Road to write, discuss, inspire, motivate, and support each other as they work towards completing a 50,000-word draft in a single month.
The write-in is being coordinated and hosted by Alice Olivia Scarlett, the Fiction Editor for Thanet Writers, who recently edited Shoal. The events will take place upstairs in Cliffs; though will be moved downstairs for accessibility purposes if required.
A regular participant in NaNoWriMo herself, Alice will not only be hosting the group but also on-hand to offer advice or feedback on story ideas and characters.

At the end of the month, writers who have attended every write-in and hit their 50,000-word target will be presented with some writing goodies, including an exclusive Thanet Writers branded notebook.

Each write-in will be from 9:30am to 12pm and will be in Cliffs, 172 Northdown Road, Margate, Kent CT9 2QN.
